The Design Process
From concept to completion. Keeping you informed every step of the way.
01. Initial Design Concept
We start by getting to know you — your brief, your lifestyle, and the scope of the project. From there, we establish the direction for both function and aesthetics, and bring it to life through initial layouts, mood boards, and a preliminary selection of finishes and fittings. Nothing moves forward until you've approved the concept.
02. Design Development
Once the concept is approved, we develop it into full documentation and schedules — refining finishes, fixtures, lighting, and fittings, and coordinating closely with consultants and contractors along the way. 3D renderings are available on request. As always, your sign-off is required before we move to the next stage.
03. Tender Documentation
We prepare comprehensive tender documentation — final plans, joinery, and finishes and fittings schedules — and liaise directly with builders and subcontractors to ensure the design intent is clearly communicated. Your final sign-off is required before construction documentation is issued.
04. Design Implementation
This is where it all comes together. We carry out site inspections, attend regular site meetings, and provide supplementary details as needed, reviewing shop drawings and following the build through to practical completion — including a defects inspection. We also assist with coordinating the delivery of furniture and homewares, so the finishing touches land exactly as envisioned.
